the question is,what i think might have happened to air france flight af447..
well it could have been quite similar to birgenair flight 301,where the pitot tubes were the main culprits in causing the crash.or the other possibility could be that it suffered a structural fracture somewhere in the plane.for sure,bad weather contributed to the catastrophe but definitely not the crash.and investigators have pointed out the fact that the plane exploded in mid-air and not on impact which could mean the pitot tubes displayed incorrect airspeed of likely a reading too slow then accelerating tremendously fast,confusing the pilots,of which they probably decreased the planes airspeed causing a stall and at high altitudes where the air is thin,a stall leads to a high chance of falling from the sky and not being able to stay airborne.the other could be a fracture somewhere in the structure of the plane,just waiting to give way,combined with harsh weather,the fracture could have worsened and eventually broke,leading to parts of the plane falling apart(so called the explosion in mid-air) and the crash..
well thats my take of what might have happened and im not sure if investigators have the same viewpoint or agree with my side of the story..
