In approximately 21h and 55mins time, the year 2008 will be history. 2009 is a new year. Put all the unhappy, unmemorable and bad events behind you. Start All Over. I know 'Start All Over' is a song by Hannah Montana (Miley Cyrus) but some song lyrics are just spot-on. We always need to look into the future. That is why we also plan for the future. 2009 is indeed going to be a tough and stressful year for all of us, nevertheless, remember the times that you persevered in P6 or/and those difficult situations. Reflect and revisit. Think of how can you improve yourself, needless to say, for the better. Everybody makes mistakes, however we need to learn and minimise the chance of the same mistake we once made reoccur again. The minute occurrence of that terrible and fateful mistake would enhance your step closer to success. Although school is about to begin again and many of us dread the thought of going back to 'jail', don't think about it this way. Look deeper and understand why. The primary purpose of the government building numerous schools all across this little island is to enable and equip us with the knowledge needed to survive, earn the necessary bucks and of course, to upgrade our skills in the working world. Don't have the mindset that school is a 'jail'. Don't say die before you're dead. If so, your parents wouldn't have gone to work and you might not be alive now. The working world is much tougher and deadlier than our schooling lives. Look, when you work, what holidays are there even? All you get is about 30 days of leave which you have to decide when to use it for the entire year and the public holidays are your holidays. Isn't being a student much better? You get fixed school holidays, weekends are free, the time you spend in school are fixed and scheduled, and all you have to do is just study. Okay, maybe the word 'study' isn't appetizing. But so what? Many countless working people, be it students working part-time or adults, they would rather be a student and not go to work. Well, I might have said too much but it is necessary as I feel too many students out there need this to revive their hardworking spirit within themselves. I also feel that there is another reason, we sometimes feel that working hard now doesn't bring any instant results. What we want is instant results, that's why when the computer is lagging or our handphone has hanged, we get frustrated and therefore our patience reduces. However that's not the case when it comes to studying or schooling. The results we get are in terms of the knowledge gain, the degrees earned and of course, the amount of salary earned. These are long-term results. 'School' and 'study' may sound revolting and unappealing, it's the best word to use though if not why did someone create them? ************ Anyway, just to update, the Bombardier Challenger 604 had been ready for delivery about 3 days ago but I'll probably give the plane to the receiver tomorrow, on what's most likely going to be my last meal for the year 2008. The A380 is almost complete, with a handful of decals to be sticked onto the fuselage and just to connect the colossal wings and the main landing gear together. I should be able to finish in a day which I'm planning and hoping to be on Thursday. Today it seems, Wednesday, 31 December 2008, I'm going to complete every scratch of homework that needs to be done and due for Friday. That's my plan and I hope it turns out just the way I want it, or else I'll be 'dead'. Today, FCBC's Countdown Party @ TC, 9.30pm-12.30am. The dress code is 'Occupation'. Please let me know if you want to come. I'm pretty certain that no one is going to read until here. In fact, I'm almost certain.
